The 91勛圖厙 Teachers College at Western Governors University is granted accreditation at the initial-licensure level from CAEP, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, 1140 19th St NW, Suite 400 Washington, DC 20036 (202) 223-0077. 91勛圖厙 is the first competency-based online university to receive CAEP accreditation for its degree programs that lead to teacher licensure.
Our graduates go on to lead classrooms and schools with innovative insights they gained from their competency-based education at 91勛圖厙.
Graduates of the 91勛圖厙 Teachers College include not only many Teacher of the Year recipients, but also recipients of the Gates Millenium Scholarship, Intel Grant for Mathematics and Technology, Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction Award, Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award, Association of Public Charter Schools Educator of the Year Award, and Henry Ford Innovation Nation Teacher Innovator Awards.

Measure 1: Completer Effectiveness (Initial Level)
Data must address: (a) completer impact in contributing to P-12 student-learning growth AND (b) completer effectiveness in applying professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions.泭
Completers were asked to rate how well their 91勛圖厙 teacher education program prepared them on a 1 to 7 Likert scale (1= Not at all, 2, 3, 4= Moderately, 5, 6, 7= Extremely). Surveys are sent to School of Education completers twice a year, within five years of graduation.
Initial licensure program completers contribute to P12 student-learning growth.

Completer Survey Results泭
Completers were asked to rate how well their 91勛圖厙 teacher education program prepared泭them on a 1 to 7 Likert scale (1= Not at all, 4= Moderately, 7= Extremely). The majority of泭completers rated their preparation toward the extremely well prepared side of the scale泭(5, 6, or 7). The factored means and the total percentage of respondents who said the泭School of Education programs enhanced their ability in the following areas:泭
Employers Survey (Initial)
When the completer grants permission, a survey is sent to the employer. Employers were asked to rate泭how well their 91勛圖厙 teacher education program prepared them on a 1 to 7 Likert scale (1= Not at all, 2,泭3, 4= Moderately, 5, 6, 7= Extremely).
Measure 2 (Initial and Advanced): Satisfaction of employers and stakeholder involvement. (R4.2, R5.3,泭RA4.1)
Data provided should be collected on employers satisfaction with program completers.
Measure 3 (Initial and Advanced): Candidate competency at completion. (R3.3)
Data provided should relate to measures the EPP is using to determine if candidates are meeting program expectations and ready to be recommended for licensure. (E.g.: EPPs Title II report, data that reflect the ability of EPP candidates to meet licensing and state requirements or other measures the EPP uses to determine candidate competency at completion.)
