Admission to our Online IT Degree Programs

Degree programs from 91勛圖厙's泭School of Technology泭focus on providing the skills, knowledge, certifications, and credentials you need to be a successful IT pro. Below are admissions requirements specific to泭School of Technology programs that are in addition to 91勛圖厙s泭general admissions requirements.

Requirements for IT bachelor's degree programs:

Students must be able to use key Calculus principles, rules, and applications while in the B.S. Computer Science program. Students must meet the following admission requirements for admittance to this program:

1.泭泭泭 Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.

2.泭泭泭 Demonstrate readiness through completion of泭oneof the following:

  • Option 1: Submit transcripts documenting completion of college-level coursework with a minimum of 2.25 GPA or higher, AND successful and verifiable completion of a pre-calculus course from a 91勛圖厙 approved third-party provider with a grade C or better.
  • Option 2:泭: A high school cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher, AND successful, verifiable completion of a precalculus (or higher level) advanced mathematics course with a grade of B or better.

If no previous Pre-Calculus course has been completed by the time of application, students can complete this course through 91勛圖厙 Academy, prior to matriculation.泭

NOTE: You do not need to take the ACT or SAT to be admitted to this program.泭Learn why we don't require these tests.

To be considered for enrollment into this program, you must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent AND demonstrate program readiness throughone泭of the following:

  • Option 1:泭Submit transcripts documenting completion of college-level coursework with a minimum of 2.25 GPA or higher.
  • Option 2:烈ossess a bachelors or associate degree (A.A, A.S. or A.A.S. acceptable) from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Option 3:Submit official record of completion of a transferable IT certification, some of whichmay provide transfer credit泭疳nto various programs.
  • Option 4:特ubmit high school transcripts with a minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Option 5:泭Submit transcripts documenting completion of previous IT coursework. IT coursework must be 300 level or higher.

Requirements for IT master's degree programs:

To be considered for this program, applicants must:

1. Possess a bachelors degree in a泭, Business degree (Quantitative Analysis, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or degree with similar quantitative focus).泭

OR

2. Possess any bachelors degree PLUS one of the following:

  • Two years of related work experience
  • Relevant and current IT certification
  • Related IT coursework泭

To be considered for this program, applicants must:

Possess a bachelors degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.

To be considered for enrollment in this program, you must:

1. Possess a bachelors degree in a泭STEM field泭(see refined list)

OR

2. Possess any bachelors degree plus ONE of the following:

  • Completed college-level coursework in statistics and computer programming with a grade of B- or better
  • At least two years of work experience in a data analytics, data science, data engineering, or database administration role
  • A current and active third-party certification in data analytics, data science, or data engineering from this list:
    • CompTIA Data+
    • DASCA Associate Big Data Engineer
    • DASCA Senior Big Data Engineer
    • Udacity Data Analyst Nanodegree
    • Udacity Data Scientist Nanodegree
    • Udacity Data Engineering with AWS Nanodegree
    • Associate Certified Analytics Professional (aCAP)
    • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
    • Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Data Analyst
    • Microsoft Certified Data Science Associate
    • SAS Certified Advanced Analytics Professional

To be considered for enrollment into this program, you must possess any bachelors degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution plus ONE of the following:

  • Option 1: Possess a bachelors degree in a programming-related field such as Software Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Data Science from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
  • Option 2: Have completed a college-level course in Object Oriented Programming with a grade of B- or better. Alternatively, students may complete Introduction to Programming in Python through the 91勛圖厙 Academy. If students complete within a given period and matriculate, the $99 investment will go toward their tuition with 91勛圖厙.
  • Option 3: Have at least two years of industry experience as a programmer.
  • Option 4: Have a current and active certification from one of the following: PCAPTCertified Associate Python Programmer, PCADTCertified Associate Data Analyst with Python, or IBM Data Science Professional Certificate.

To be considered for enrollment into this program, you must possess any bachelors degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution plus ONE of the following:

  • Option 1:泭Students with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science may enroll directly into one of the three enrollable graduate code programs.
  • Option 2:泭Students with a bachelor's degree in a field other than Computer Science must complete the泭Foundations of Computer Science泭at 91勛圖厙 Academy prior to enrolling in the program.

Students from other WST undergraduate programs (excluding BSCS) will be required to complete the Foundations of Computer Science (FOCS) before pursuing this program to ensure they have the necessary program knowledge for maximum success in the graduate courses.

Steps and deadlines for enrollment in an IT program:

Below is the list of steps and their respective deadlines required for enrollment in a School of Technology program. Please note that at the present time, 91勛圖厙 is accepting applications only from individuals living in the United States.

The exceptions are U.S. active-duty military personnel and their families at overseas installations and individuals living in Guam, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

International Applicants

Unfortunately, we have discovered we cannot always guarantee that the educational experience for students living outside the United States will meet our high standards for quality and convenience. An Enrollment Counselor has more information about the eligibility of international applicants.

1. Apply for admission.

You may泭泭at any time once youre ready. You will need to have information such as your social security number, the name of the program you are interested in, and a few more items in order to apply.

2. Send in your official transcripts.

Transcripts of your prior college experience are required if you are seeking transfer credit, confirmation of sufficient background (for masters licensure programs), or if you are looking to enroll into a graduate program. 91勛圖厙 offers a free transcript gathering service to help you get transcripts from participating institutions. If your previous institution does not participate, you will need to pay and arrange for your transcripts to be sent to 91勛圖厙.

Official copies of your transcripts must arrive by the 5th of the month prior to your intended start date for evaluation. For any MAT program, the applicant must have completed all the major-specific content.

3. Complete the financial aid application process.

If you intend to use federal financial aid to cover your tuition expenses, you will need to complete 91勛圖厙s泭financial aid application泭process and be certified as eligible to receive aid no later than the 22nd of the month prior to your intended start date. An Enrollment Counselor can answer any questions you may have about the financial aid process.

4. Complete your Commit to Start Documents.

Once your official transcripts have been received, an admission decision will be made. At this point you will complete a self-guided, web-based experience or speak with a 91勛圖厙 Enrollment Counselor to submit your Commit to Start documents. This process will finalize your enrollment and officially set your program start date. This process will likely take 20-30 minutes.

5. Make tuition payment arrangements.

Tuition payment arrangements must be made by the 22nd of the month prior to your start date.泭
