Mitchell Ly Underrepresented Leaders in Technology Endowed Scholarship
Western Governors University’s (91³Ô¹ÏÍø) mission is to change lives by creating pathways to opportunity with high-quality, competency-based, post-secondary degree paths that support racially and ethnically diverse students in higher education. More than 70% of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø students come from systemically disadvantaged populations; the average student is 34 years old; and we consistently maintain one of the lowest tuition rates in the nation.Ìý
The Mitchell Ly Endowed Scholarship supports:Ìý
1. Underpresented students currently or formerly employed in technology sector.
2. 91³Ô¹ÏÍø students pursuing degrees in the technology sector, with a proven background or passion for leadership (does not
have to be currently in an IT role).
3. Students pursuing a career change to an IT field.
"I wanted to create a scholarship that removes financial barriers and opens doors for talented individuals from underrepresented communities. Supporting these future leaders means building a more diverse and inclusive future for all of us, where we all have the opportunity and are empowered to use our voices and learned experiences.Ìý
